Record Applications at Berkeley UTC Open Event

SGS Berkeley Green UTC was a hit with visitors, this past Saturday, at its first open event of the academic year.

The whole community was invited to the event, where visitors participated in a fun range of activities and spoke with staff about courses and life at the UTC.

The event was hugely popular. So popular in fact that there are now only 100 of the 140 available spaces left for September 2017.

SGS Berkeley Green UTC promises to offer a new kind of learning experience, where students can turn their passion for science and engineering into a dream career.

With plans to offer some of the best training facilities in the country for the science, technology, mathematics and engineering industries, the UTC has received glowing praise and full support from multiple local businesses. Because of these relationships, students will get to participate in projects with the UTC’s employer partners in real working environments, where they can apply their technical skills and creative thinking.

Chair of UTC Governors, Sara-Jane Watkins comments:

Sara-Jane Watkins

“I was delighted to see so many enthusiastic people at the open event. The opportunity to gain both an academic and technical education at our exciting and inspiring UTC is proving to be very appealing to young learners and their families. For people considering learning at SGS Berkeley Green UTC, don’t hesitate to attend one of our open events and secure your place, we’re filling up faster than expected.”

SGS Berkeley Green UTC’s next open event takes place Saturday October 1st, 10:00am – 1:00pm. To book a meeting with a UTC manager at the next open event click here.
