Welcome from the Chair of Governors, Steve Shepherd
On behalf of the Local Governing Body at SGS Berkeley Green UTC, welcome to our website.
SGS Berkeley Green UTC has high expectations for all and we are passionate about delivering education for young people that both inspires them and enables them to succeed in the sectors of Engineering and Digital Technologies.
We are a committed Local Governing Body who both support and challenge the Principal and his team to ensure outstanding outcomes for learners through the monitoring of activities and progress in the UTC. Our Local Governing Body is a proactive and dynamic group of people ranging from parents/carers and family members to professionals from the community. We appoint Governors who have a passion to support SGS Berkeley Green UTC for the benefit of the pupils, families, employers and staff as well as the wider community. The Governors meet regularly to discuss all aspects of UTC life and will be critical friends to ensure the UTC meet the high expectations and aspirations we set for our learners and the UTC.
Learners are our number one priority and all staff, governors and trustees work together with a common aim of providing a safe and personalised learning environment in which all learners can reach their potential and have a positive time at the UTC. Parents and carers are very much part of the whole school community and we welcome your input through links with Parent Governors and involvement with the UTC.
