Open Evening this April at SGS Berkeley GREEN

The new £30million Gloucestershire Science and Technology Park will open its doors for an open evening, Thursday 27 April, 5:30pm – 8:00pm for prospective students, friends and family.

Visitors can discover the vast array of learning opportunities, speak with course specialists, take part in a range of hands on activities, interact with fan-favourite NAO the robot and take a tour of the impressive facilities including the brand new Skills Centre.

The SGS Berkley GREEN Campus, which is due to open in September 2017, will offer some of the best training facilities in the country for the science, technology, engineering and manufacturing industries and will house the recently approved state of the art SGS Berkeley GREEN University Technical College (UTC).

Learners can join the UTC at the age of 14 (year 10), where alongside the national curriculum they can study a science and technology rich curriculum. At the age of 16 (year 12), learners can either continue to study at the UTC with a range of A level and vocational options or join the SGS College facility on the same site to study either full-time or access an apprenticeship in engineering, construction, welding, cyber or digital technologies.

SGS College Principal, Sara-Jane Watkins, comments: “There is much to discover at the Berkeley GREEN Campus. Visitors have found our open evenings to be highly beneficial. If you are interested to discover what the new campus can offer you, pay us a visit on Thursday 27 April.”
