Gloucestershire Science and Technology Park welcome its first new occupier

South Gloucestershire and Stroud College welcomed the first occupier to Berkeley Green last week, Interserve.

Interserve is one of the world’s foremost support services and construction companies. We have a workforce of over 80,000 people worldwide. Interserve provides a comprehensive range of site support services. We pride ourselves on having a committed, highly trained workforce and an excellent Health and Safety record.

The project began back in September 2015 with a vision of providing a catering facility at Berkeley in tune with its business need. The ‘Workshop’ was created in D31, located near the entrance of the park and was completely refurbished using many materials and equipment from the original Berkeley laboratories and workshops.

David Johnston FM Manager/Contract Catering Manager commented: "The coffee shop was formerly opened on Wednesday by Jack Jones, the first apprentice employed at the new campus. It was a real pleasure to Introduce Jack and also Ali Grieve who will be the staff serving food and drinks to the many visitors to Berkeley Green!  The “Workshop” Coffee house is a statement about the level of commitment Interserve have in helping SGS achieve success at Berkeley Green.  Interserve are delighted to be working in partnership with SGS and see the opening of the shop as the beginning of great relationship for many years to come.”

Andy Slaney, Chief Operating Officer at SGS commented: “SGS Commercial Services are delighted to welcome Interserve to Gloucestershire Science and Technology Park here at Berkeley Green. The new café/shop ‘Workshop’ at D31 will be valued by those working and studying on the campus.”
