1st December Open Evening and chance to WIN the brand new iPhone 728th November 2016
The new £30 million Gloucestershire Science and Technology Park will be open for an SGS Berkeley GREEN University Technical College (UTC) open evening, Thursday 1 December, 5:30pm – 8:00pm, complete with fan-favourite NAO the robot and an opportunity to win an iPhone 7.
NAO the robot is the leading humanoid robot being used in research and education worldwide. NAO brings STEM to life with hands on learning for reading, writing, math, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus and programming.
The whole community is invited to the open evening where visitors can speak with course specialists to discover the vast array of learning and career opportunities coming to the campus and tour the impressive facilities, including the brand new GREEN Skills Centre, which will be officially opened earlier that day.
To be in with a chance to win the brand new iPhone 7, visitors will need to bring along an open event flyer or register online here.
The Gloucestershire Science and Technology Park, which is due to open in September 2017, will offer some of the best training facilities in the country for the science, technology, engineering and manufacturing industries and will house the recently approved state of the art SGS Berkeley GREEN UTC and GREEN Skills Centre.
The GREEN Skills Centre, which will be developed over the next five years, will incorporate education, training, business start-up and research facilities with a focus on the development of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
The UTC, which is one of sixty planned or already open UTCs nationally, will provide specialist, high quality, vocational and academic education for learners with a strong interest in advanced engineering and digital technologies.
Those interested in learning at the UTC are encouraged to attend and apply early; the last open day so popular that spaces are already becoming limited for starting in September 2017.
Sara-Jane Watkins, Chair of UTC Project Steering Group Sara-Jane Watkins comments:
“Open evenings at the Berkeley GREEN Campus continue to be very popular and visitors have found them to be highly beneficial. If you are interested to discover what the new campus can offer you, pay us a visit on Thursday 1 December.”
